Meow Cosmetics

I ordered a mass sample order from Meow during the free delivery a couple of weeks ago. I can never get a foundation to match so thought I’d give it a shot after reading good reviews. Above is my package and top is a layout of all the foundation samples I ordered that could be a match.

So far I’ve tried Korat in frisky which looked really good and I think is my match. It went on nicely and made my skin look nice and uniform without looking too scary! Today I tried Mau in Frisky and I look quite deathly, so not too good. I’ve also tried Siamese and I looked very yellow. You can’t really tell when putting it on, you have to wait and look in the mirror after a little while to see how you look. The shades are all quite similar, but it seems to make quite a difference if you find the one that suits you.

I ordered some blushers too and they look really nice, though as I have never used a loose powder blusher before I paniced when the colours look a little dark when I put them on. I had images of clown type red cheeks! But after a quick blend all was well!

I also ordered some eyeshadow samples. I am uber jealous after reading all these beauty blogs lately – people are amazing at eyeshadow! Not just one colour, they can use loads and it looks awesome! I can do drag queen or idiot let loose with finger paints. Not good…But apart from that the colours looked pretty and I figured I’d give it a go at some point. The swatches look nice, especially the red one (Resisting Arrest), it has a pink shiny glow in the sun. :)

Lastly I ordered some bronzer type bits randomly. I never wear bronzer, but I felt like experimenting! The left ones are Sunsplashers, quite subtle. The right is darker and more sparkly in the sun, but still quite fair. The blend so nicely I hope I can apply it ok and not end up looking like I’m about to go into battle with war paint…

I’m going to carrying on trying the different samples and I suspect I’ll probably go with the first one I tried. I’m going to use the whole sample and make sure I really like it before doing a whole order.

The international postage is quite pricey, but if there is ever an offer on I recommend ordering a load of samples. There is enough in a sample bag for a few uses and they are only $1 each. Also, I asked on the forum for advice on where to start when looking for a foundation match and they were very helpful. They gave me a couple of ideas and I just picked shades either side and including what they suggested, I highly recommend asking in the meow forums if your not sure what to start with.
