GlossyBox

My GlossyBox arrived this morning just as I was leaving the house for my last university lecture! Double happy times! :) The GlossyBox was packed in a cute pink box and the goodies inside were all wrapped up with black tissue paper and pink ribbon, nice first impression.

Inside there were five products to play with, one being the infamous NARS Orgasm Illuminator.

For more pictures and chat about the products in the box I have continued after the break. I know there will be a lot of posts regarding this so I thought I’d spare you if you don’t want to read anymore :)

First, is the NARS Illuminator in Orgasm. I don’t own any NARS products at all, but heard and seen plenty about them on various blogs. I was very happy to see this in the box as I always wanted to try it. It looks a scary orange with gold sparkle in the tube, but it blends out to a lovely sheer highlight.

Here are two very tiny blobs of Illuminator. The right one unblended and the left only slightly blended out. As you can see it definitely goes far so I’m sure this tube will last me forever.

Here are the same blobs, but this time with the left blob blended out further. It is no longer orange, it instead leaves behind a nice highlight with a subtle gold shimmer. I didn’t bother taking a picture of tis on my face because you wouldn’t be able to see it. I am quite impressed with this as it is a very subtle highlight and the product blends out really nicely and doesn’t dry to quickly or leave you super shimmery. Very nice product :)

Next is the All For Eve lipstick in Red Eve. It’s a gorgeous true red lipstick. It’s very smooth and glossy and not at all drying. It applies nicely, although I think I should have got the lip brush out to make my edges neater. I really like it, a lovely lipstick.

Bionova Lab Bioactive Cleanser. This looks like it was made in a lab, with everyone wearing lab coats. It comes in a little glass vial and looks very science-y. It smells very nice, can’t wait to try it out.
Alterna Caviar Anti-Aging Rapid Repair Spray. This smells lovely, just like the smell of the products in the hairdressers. It kinda smells like the BedHead shine spray. I spritz some of this on my hair and it did refresh my hair. I just tied it up this morning and couldn’t really be bothered. This spray made my feel softer and smell lovely. First impressions, very nice!
COMO Shambhala Invigorate Body Lotion. This body lotion smells of lavender. It is really similar to the Elemis FreshSkin moisteriser I’ve been using on my face recently. It smells gorgoues (if you like lavender!) and it absorbs quickly and leaves my skin feeling soft. Again, great first impression.

I loved the whole GlossyBox idea and in practice it is just as good. I love the surprise of getting to try new things, especially if they are actually nice! Very pleased with my GlossyBox! Definitely worth the £10. Has anyone else got their GlossyBox? Or if you didn’t sign up this month, do you think you will in the future? xxx
